Installed on the exterior wall of Billy Jack’s Wing Shack in Harrisonburg, Virginia. “Space Cowboy” was a collaboration with the artist, the building/business owner, a local donor, and other local art representatives. Each had some input into the design and marketing of the project.

Much of the imagery used to create the “story” and composition of “Space Cowboy” was inspired by objects used to decorate the interior of the restaurant.

Over 180 different colors of spray paint were used to create “Space Cowboy”. Along with extra time spent on repairing sections of the brick facade, purposeful design was used to hide many eyesores, such as utility boxes and conduit.
